Ended up at Ru San's in Midtown

So yesterday evening, our plans to spontaneously attend the roller derby were disrupted by sell-out ticket conditions. We decided to go "a-roaming". Our friend J decided that he didn't want to participate in such aimlessness and stayed home. While roaming about inside the perimeter with me finishing reading The Vampire Lestat to DH, I started getting text messages from a different friend J who was also "a-roaming". He suggested we go to Ru San's in Midtown since we'd never been there and it was sushi in a fun environment. He did not meet us there, but we thought "sure, why not".
It was definitely different. It was a rather loud establishment that reached fever pitch for about five minutes whenever there was a birthday to announce. The place was bustling with at least a dozen sushi chefs behind stainless counters. They had a crowded dining room with tables and sushi bar seating, and an outdoor balcony overlooking Piedmont Road. The menu was sizable (the menu in the link is a little outdated as far as pricing but looks pretty complete for content). The service was great. The food was great. We'll definitely be going back, especially if we have someone from out of town to take.

Adventuring in Cobb County

So Wednesday night I went to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre with friends J and his sister N. We saw (heard?) a reading by humor author David Sedaris. You may listen to some of his work which he has read for radio at NPR. We enjoyed it very much. Mr. Sedaris is a very funny man, though a bit more liberal thinking than I. The venue is gorgeous, both from the outside and inside. Our seats were in the "nosebleeds" as evidence by this picture:
This is a picture of N and I taken by J, who told me not to put any pictures of him on my blog. :P I snagged the pictures from the album of the event that N shared with me.

The Cyst - Post-Surgical

Continuing from the previous post, here is what we've seen of the arm post-surgical. He has to keep the bandages on for 10-14 days, where at the next office visit, the doctor will remove bandages, splint, and stitches. I'm sure there will be another update after that point.
This is the picture where he was trying to convince me that the arm with the bandage is actually now longer than the arm without the bandage.

The Cyst - Pre-Surgical

So DH had a ganglion cyst removed on Thursday. We made sure to take these snapshots before the surgery for documentation purposes. It had gotten so big that he named it Pustulio and was threatening to draw a face on it and make it wear a suit.
